Siva Sundaram
M.D. Candidate at Harvard Medical School
Sundaram is a first-year medical student at Harvard Medical School interested in addiction medicine, child and adolescent psychiatry, and global mental health. As an undergraduate at Harvard, he majored in Social Studies, focusing on medical anthropology in South Asia, and graduated magna cum laude with membership in the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. After college, Sundaram worked as a field mentor for Elements Wilderness Program in Utah, where he helped teach emotional literacy, coping skills, and self-efficacy through outdoor challenge to adolescents in treatment for substance use and other mental health issues. In addition to his work with the Student Coalition on Addiction and the Center for Primary Care’s Student Leadership Committee, Sundaram is a member of Harvard Medical School’s newly formed Addiction & Pain Management Curriculum Working Group.
