Richard Buckman is Board Chair of Faces & Voices of Recovery, a national advocacy organization for people in long-term recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. Buckman is an original member and multiple-term president of the Long Island Recovery Association (LIRA) and founding President of Friends of Recovery New York (FOR-NY), the statewide recovery community organization.   Buckman is a licensed clinical social worker, certified employee assistance professional, certified addictions counselor and Level II certified experiential therapist.  He has been in long-term recovery since 1988.
