Michael Cartwright is Chairman of the Board of American Addiction Centers, a national behavioral health organization with treatment centers in California, Texas, Nevada and Tennessee.  American Addiction Centers helps more than 4,500 patients annually to overcome drug and alcohol addictions, compulsive overeating, gambling, nicotine and other life-controlling issues.

Cartwright’s treatment philosophy is based on 15 federally-funded research studies on dual diagnosis and addiction. He is the founder of Dual Diagnosis Management and the former CEO of Foundations Associates, which helped thousands of individuals and families overcome addiction. Cartwright also served on the Senate Help Sub-committee on Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services, working directly with former U.S. Senator Edward M. Kennedy.

An avid fitness enthusiast, Cartwright experienced firsthand the transformation possible through exercise, nutrition, total mindset and overall lifestyle changes when he lost 60 pounds in five months.  He founded FitRX, a physician-directed weight loss retreat facility near Nashville, TN, to help those with food addictions and obesity.
